tumbl with me

For those of you who don't already follow my tumblr, you should. I post a lot of process pictures of projects I'm currently working on. Like this photo of the Batwoman woodcut I'm working on right now.

I also reblog a lot of nerdy and awesome things about Walking Dead, Dick Grayson, Green Lantern, graphic design, zombies, Joss Whedon shows, Harry Potter, moustaches, the Bat family, Doctor Who, Kanye, NPH and whatever else makes me laugh or looks awesome.

TWIA: School and work

I didn't really take any photos this week, so this post is all art!

First off, some stuff from the DN. A glorious, orange Daren Keen and a pretty blue Beethoven. Daren is my normal, Illustrator stuff, but the Beethoven piece is the first time I've painted anything for the DN in a long time. I think it turned out pretty well.

Next up, some stuff from my printmaking class. First, the final of my Wolfman print. It turned out pretty adorable, just like I hoped. Second, getting ready to etch an image of Timm into my experimental process plate. I don't want him to get a big ego about it, but I love his giant beard, so I had to use him.

Finally, some stuff from my newest papermaking project which involved creating a research book about fibers that can be made into paper. Here are some photos of the pulp dying process, draining some cooked grass fiber, a sheet of the grass paper and finally the finished books.

TWIP: Nov 1-8

This week: tiny bottles of alcohol, Noah's birthday and boredom at work.

a quick little update

First, an in progress shot of a Captain Marvel illustration for a friend.

Second, an in-progress test print of my Wolfman wood cut. His face makes me giggle every time.

TWIP: Halloween and more

Some photos from Halloween and pumpkin carving the week before including our kickass pumpkins, the best costume evar, adorable dino gloves and the creepiest home made mask I have ever seen. All things fitting for the best Halloween. Hope the holiday was as good to you as it was to us. :]
